Overview   The College of Agriculture and Bioresources has five academic departments:
  • Agricultural Economics
  • Animal and Poultry Science
  • Applied Microbiology and Food Science
  • Plant Sciences (includes Crop Development Centre)
  • Soil Science.

Facilities   Specialized Facilities: Controlled Environment Facility, W.P. Fraser Herbarium, Food and Sensory Evaluation Laboratories, Meat Processing and Food Pilot Plants, Fermentation Laboratory, Bioinsecticide Research Laboratory, Barley and Oat Quality Laboratory, Crop Molecular Genetics Laboratory, Crop Genetic Engineering Laboratories, Pulse Crop Breeding and Pulse Pathology

Pre-veterinary medicine: Students who wish to apply to the U of S Western College of Veterinary Medicine must complete a pre-veterinary program of at least 2 years. Required courses for this program are available through the College of Agriculture and Bioresources and are often taken in combination with a BSA program. website
